What fun we have had this summer! Always looking to provide our students with fun activities we have had our first gymkhana.

A gymkhana is games with horses. We had a blast!

We started out the evening with egg and spoon. The objective was to ride around and be the last one holding their spoon with an egg still on it (not an easy thing to do while on the ground, but even harder when on horseback).

We also had barrel racing. What excitement as some of the more advanced students really turned on the speed.

We also did a carrot race where students rode to the end of the ring, dismounted, picked up a carrot, and lead their horse back to the start with the carrot.

It was a fun evening for everyone and ended with pizza. Check out the calendar for future gymkhanas and other fun activities.
