Vermont Trip 2010

It has been a busy couple weeks at Harmony! 16 horses and their riders traveled up to the Green Mountain Horse Association's property in South Woodstock, Vermont on August 12th to spend the week competing, learning, relaxing, and vacationing.
GMHA is a beautiful and spacious property located in the mountains of Vermont that is home to many competitions. Participants did everything from taking care of their own horses, riding in lessons, trail riding up the mountain, playing in the river and also had time to relax and enjoy time with one another. This also gave the Event Team an opportunity to practice and perfect their riding for the a horse trials at the end of the week. Their hard work paid off when all Event Team riders dominated in the cold and rain at the Huntington Farm Horse Trials.

Team Harmony Makes It Onto The USEA Leaderboard...Again! Niki McDonnell and Satchmo are in 5th place in the Young Adult Rider category of the Beginner Novice division.
Congratulations to Niki McDonnell and Satchmo Ain't Misbehavin' for making it onto the United States Eventing Association Leaderboard. Niki McDonnell and Satchmo are in 8th place in the Young Adult Rider category of the Beginner Novice division. Niki is the only rider in New England to make it onto the leaderboard for Beginner Novice. Be sure to congratulate Niki and Satchmo on this great accomplishment before they head off to the American Eventing Championships in September. The USEA is very proud of it's athletes and acknowledging their achievements. It is important to the Association that those accomplishments are properly acknowledged and the Leaderboard is one way of showing how the top riders for all levels rank against other riders in the entire country! The USEA Leaderboard takes points riders earn if they receive a ribbon in an event and adds them up. Riders who have the most points have their names placed on the leaderboard with other riders from the entire United States. |
