Cathleen Cosgrove
Facility
Manager and Teacher
Cathy has a Bachelors
Degree in Animal Science and Technology
from the University of Rhode Island.
She is a Massachusetts
licensed riding instructor and is certified
through the Certified Horsemanship Association
at Level 3 English and Level 2 Western.
Cathy is certified in CPR and First
Aid.
Cathy started riding when
she was six years old. She started out
as a Western Pleasure rider in the Western
Massachusetts 4-H shows. Growing up
she spent many of her summers working
on horse farms. In high school and college
she explored many animal related careers
until coming back to her horse roots
during her senior year of college.
It was also during college
that Cathy discovered Harmony Horse
Stables. She started as a working student
during the summer breaks. When she graduated
in 2000, she joined Harmony Horse Stables
as an assistant manager. She participated
in the Apprentice Program, where she
developed her skills as an instructor.
Cathy now teaches full time and is working
with her horse, Duke Ellington, in jumpers,
eventing and versatility competitions.

Stacey Collins
Faculty
Chair
Stacey Collins has
her Bachelors Degree in Pre-Vet/Animal
Science with a concentration in Equine
Studies from the University of Massachusetts
Amherst. Stacey has her Level 3 in English
and Level 2 in Western riding through
the Certified Horsemanship Association.
Stacey has been
riding horses since she was eight years
old. When she was thirteen, she began
working at barns - always learning as
much as she could from every horse and
human she met. Throughout high school,
Stacey took care of her two horses,
worked at several barns, fox hunted,
and was heavily involved in 4H horse
programs.
In 1996, she moved
to Massachusetts and, after fulfilling
her apprenticeship, began teaching professionally.
Stacey also spent one year as a vet
tech for the Massachusetts Equine Clinic.
Although she learned a lot, Stacey missed
teaching full time. Thus, she found
a home at Harmony Horse Stables. Stacey
has had the priviliege of teaching the
wonders of horses to many people. Stacey
is certified in CPR and First Aid.

Don Pollard
Barn
Manager
Don Pollard comes
to us from Vermont. He is a graduate
of the University of Connecticut where
he majored in Animal Husbandry, with
a minor in Nutrition. He was raised
on horse farms and has worked with some
nationally known trainers.
Don has owned two Palominos
and an Appendix Quarter Horse and is
especially talented at "reading" people
and animals.
Don would like people
to know that he is "firm, but fair."
He would not ask someone to do anything
he wouldn't do or hasn't done. His motto
is, "If you don't enjoy doing it, don't
do it! Horses first!! People second!!"
